Yes, they all say that breakfast is the most important meal of the day but I believe that every meal is important. You need to nourish your body throughout the entire day. It all depends on your body, lifestyle and how active you are.

But breakfast or let’s call it your first meal of the day is more special because that is the meal that will get your body moving for everything you have planned. Without the right mindset and a good breakfast in the morning, it’s a total disaster.

Today I am sharing with you 3 breakfast ideas that are packed with nutrients, vitamins, protein, and more importantly; healthy complex carbs for the energy.

All these recipes are VEGAN, GLUTEN FREE and have NO ADDED SUGAR.

BREAKFAST OATMEAL BOWL

  • ½ cup organic quick cooking oats

  • ½ frozen or regular ripe banana

  • 1 TBSP flax-seed meal or chia seeds

  • ¼ tsp cinnamon

Toppings:

  • 1 TBSP nut butter

  • Choice of nut butter

  • Banana, blueberries, strawberries or kiwi.

  • Cocoa nibs, hemp seeds, coconut or nuts.

Instructions:

  1. Add your oats and spices in a bowl. Pour boiling water until oats are covered.

  2. Keep stirring and slowly adding more boiling water until you reach desired consistency of oatmeal.

  3. Add the sliced frozen banana and mix in to combine. (If you don’t have frozen banana then it works just fine with regular ripe banana. But the frozen banana makes it creamier.)

  4. Lastly top your oatmeal with cocoa topping, choice of nut butter and fruits of your choice.

You can also make this recipe the day before, put it in the fridge and enjoy the next day in the morning.

VERY BERRY SMOOTHIE

  • 1/2 cup frozen strawberries

  • 1/3 cup blueberries

  • 1/2 frozen banana

  • 1/3 cup peaches

  • ¾ cup cashew milk

  • 1 tsp acai powder

  • 2 TBSP vegan protein powder of choice

Instructions:

  1. Add all your ingredients in a blender and blend them all up. (Depends on how thick you like your smoothie you can add more milk or less to make it more in like a smoothie bowl with toppings)

VEGAN PANCAKES

-Recipe makes 2 servings-

  • 1 cup organic quick cooking oats

  • 1ripe banana

  • 2 TBSP flax-seed meal

  • 2 TBSP coconut flour

  • 1 tsp baking powder

  • 1¼ cup plant based milk

  • 1 tsp apple cider vinegar

  • 1 tsp vanille extract

  • 1 tsp cinnamon

Instructions:

  1. Pre-heat skillet for 2 minutes and brush with coconut oil.

  2. Scoop two tablespoons of batter each and cook each side for roughly 1-2minutes on medium heat.

  3. Repeat until batter is fully cooked and enjoy with your favorite choice of pancake toppings.
